Human Rights Day, 10th December

Human Rights Day was celebrated in our school on 10th December with great enthusiasm to create awareness among students about human rights and duties. The INTACH heritage students of St. Anthony's school delivered speeches highlighting basic human rights such as the right to education, equality, freedom and safety. The celebration helped the students understand the value of human rights in daily life and encouraged them to respect the rights of others.

Celebrating World Soil Day with Creative Clay Activity

Maharana Mewar Public School (MMPS) recently celebrated World Soil Day, observed annually on December 5, by engaging students in an activity to create the INTACH logo with clay. This initiative, organized by the school's active INTACH Heritage Club, aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of healthy soil and its conservation.

Event Details

Objective: To highlight soil's vital role in sustaining life, food production, and environmental health, encouraging sustainable management practices.

Activity: Students molded the logo of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) using clay, a hands-on method to connect with the material and the message of conservation. The INTACH logo is derived from an ancient anthropomorphic copper figure, symbolizing the nation's rich heritage.

Significance: This event not only fostered environmental stewardship among the youth but also connected natural heritage (soil) with cultural heritage (INTACH's mission), showcasing how the school integrates these vital concepts into its curriculum and activities.

Background: World Soil Day was established to focus global attention on challenges like soil degradation and the urgent need to safeguard this finite resource. Schools worldwide use activities like poster making, debates, and planting drives to mark the occasion.

Educational Visit to National Museum, New Delhi and The Times of India Office

On 6th December 2025, students of Classes XI and XII (Humanities and Fine Arts) visited the National Museum, New Delhi, organized by the Social Science Department to deepen their understanding of India’s history, art, and culture.

The guided tour began with the Maurya, Shunga, and Satavahana Gallery, where Buddha was symbolically represented through the Dharmachakra, Bodhi tree, and footprints. The students then explored the Kushana and Gupta Galleries, showcasing Gandhara and Mathura art. The Kushana period marked the first physical depictions of Buddha, while Gupta art achieved unmatched perfection. The Harappan Gallery displayed seals, pottery, jewellery, and the famous Dancing Girl, highlighting the advanced urban life of the Indus Valley Civilization. The Medieval Arts Gallery reflected regional diversity, while the Decorative Arts Galleries presented ivory, jade, ceramics, and everyday objects from the 16th–20th centuries. The Miniature Paintings Gallery impressed us with over 17,000 artworks spanning 900 years, including Mughal, Rajasthani, and Pahari styles.

Other highlights included:
Evolution of Indian Scripts & Coins Gallery – tracing writing systems and coinage.
Bronze Gallery – masterpieces from Nalanda, Kashmir, and Tibet.
Manuscripts Gallery – 14,000 texts on religion, philosophy, and science.
Coins Gallery – rare specimens from punch-marked coins to post-independence India.
Central Asian Gallery – artifacts from Silk Route expeditions.
Tribal Lifestyle Gallery – traditions of North-East India.
Musical Instruments Gallery – donated by Sarod maestro Sharan Rani Bakliwal.
Wood Carving Gallery – decorative panels, doors, and a carved Mandapam.
Buddhist Artifacts Gallery – sacred relics of Lord Buddha from Piprahwa.
The visit was both educational and enriching, offering students firsthand exposure to India’s cultural and historical heritage, bridging classroom learning with authentic artifacts.

Educational Visit to The Times of India Office

Visiting The Times of India printing press was an extremely enjoyable and educational experience. The visit helped the students understand the creativity and strength of Indian technology. They learned that newspapers will not become extinct for at least the next 50 years due to continuous innovation. The visit gave them a deep insights into large-scale printing, journalism, and career opportunities in the media industry. The cleanliness, organization, and excellent maintenance of the massive machines and infrastructure were truly impressive. Overall, the visit was memorable and absolutely worth it.

INTACH Activities for the Month of December
Junior School

Armed Forces Flag Day (Dec 7): Students of Classes III–V honoured soldiers and veterans. Class III drew flags of the three defence forces and spoke about their importance, while Classes IV–V expressed gratitude through flags, slogans, and messages.

Energy Conservation Day (Dec 14): Students learned about renewable energy and the need to save energy. Class IV made posters on “Conserve to Preserve”, and Class V illustrated a bulb divided into four parts, naming renewable sources.

National Farmer’s Day (Dec 23): Class III watched a farming video and drew their favourite farm foods. Class IV created a flowchart showing the journey of food “From farm to our plates.”

Gurupurab Assembly: Ganges House celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings under the theme "Light of Wisdom." Students performed short acts on sharing, honest work, and equality. The assembly concluded with Headmistress Ms. Kanu Chopra’s message on truth, kindness, and compassion.

Middle School
Conserve Today, Sustain Tomorrow: Students created posters on recycled sheets highlighting energy conservation, renewable energy, and sustainability. The activity promoted creativity, responsibility, and awareness of reusing resources.

Filmit Films: Class VIII students produced four creative videos after workshops, two shared in October and two in December, showcasing originality and effort for the INTACH jury.

Senior School

Sustainable Doll Making: Dharohar Club conducted a hands-on session using discarded materials like newspapers and scrap fabric. Students crafted sturdy dolls through eco-friendly techniques, blending sustainability with Indian craft traditions. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and environmental responsibility.



Essence International School, Nagpur

INTACH Heritage Quiz- - Gyan Ki Tarangini

True to its name, the event was a flowing river of knowledge. The INTACH Heritage Club of Essence International School organized a Heritage Quiz to foster awareness and appreciation of India’s cultural, historical, and architectural legacy. Students from various classes, who are proud members of the Heritage Club, participated with great enthusiasm. They showcased their knowledge of monuments, traditions, historical events, and eminent personalities, reflecting both curiosity and pride in our heritage.

The quiz featured multiple rounds, including visual identification, rapid-fire questions, and general knowledge, keeping the participants engaged and the competition spirited. The audience too was involved through interactive questions, which added liveliness and made the session truly informative. The event successfully achieved its objective of inspiring students to learn about and take pride in our rich heritage. Winners were honored with medals, while all participants were appreciated for their active involvement.

The program concluded on a high note, with heartfelt recognition of the dedicated efforts of teachers Vandana Shaw, Anamika Sahoo, Ashwini Raut, Pallavi Giri, Ashwini Bhatarkar, and Nishikant Sahare, whose guidance made the event possible. Their contribution was warmly acknowledged by the Respected Quality Coordinator, Mrs. Jaishri Sastri. Overall, the Heritage Quiz was not only educational but also an enjoyable experience that left everyone enriched and inspired.

In line with INTACH’s mission to conserve heritage and instil responsibility towards traditions and values, DPS Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools organized a variety of engaging activities.

Junior School

National Education Day (Nov 11): Class III wrote reflections on the importance of education, while Class V conducted flip teaching sessions, emphasizing that learning shapes values and responsible citizenship.

National Bird watching Day (Nov 12): Classes III & IV watched videos on Indian birds and created drawings; Class V composed poems inspired by Dr. Salim Ali, the “Birdman of India.”

World Kindness Day (Nov 13): Class III created “Kindness Hands,” Class IV wrote about kindness towards animals, and Class V reflected on respect for elders, fostering compassion and empathy.

Children’s Day: Teachers entertained students with dance, drama, and music, creating a joyful celebration and strengthening bonds.

States Day (Nov 14): Class III presented My Colourful India through traditional dress and dance, showcasing India’s cultural diversity and unity.

Middle School

On Nov 6, students designed creative book covers using recycled materials, combining art with sustainability and highlighting the importance of conservation.

Senior School

Class IX participated in The Voices of India, reflecting on inspiring literary characters. To mark Jane Austen’s 250th birth anniversary, Grade IX enjoyed a quiz and Grade XI solved themed crosswords, deepening their appreciation of her works.

INTACH Activities For The Month Of October
JUNIOR SCHOOL

In October, students of Classes III–V actively participated in INTACH-led activities celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage. These engaging experiences fostered creativity, teamwork, and respect for diverse traditions.

Daan Utsav & Garage Sale Held on 8th October 2025, this annual event emphasized the joy of giving and compassion. Initiated by Director Principal Ms. Aditi Misra, the celebration included her heartfelt gesture of serving Shiksha Kendra children, inspiring students with values of empathy and service.

Educational Excursion- Dilli Darshan Students of Classes III–V enjoyed a day exploring Delhi’s iconic landmarks including Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and Nehru Planetarium. The trip blended fun with learning, strengthening peer bonds and cultural awareness.

World Food Day Class IV students explored the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future” through discussions on healthy diets and sustainable food practices, promoting awareness of global food challenges.

Diwali Assembly On 10th October, Ravi House presented a vibrant assembly promoting eco-friendly celebrations. Student Council members advocated for a Green Diwali, encouraging responsible choices and gratitude.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Save Wildlife, Save Life On 6th October, students created impactful posters to raise awareness about wildlife conservation. Featuring endangered species like tigers and sea turtles, the activity nurtured creativity and environmental responsibility.

SENIOR SCHOOL

World Food Day – INTACH Activity On 16th October, students, including Danish Exchange participants, engaged in a session focused on SDG 2: Zero Hunger. The event featured educational videos, a quiz, and a pledge-writing activity, inspiring students to reduce food waste and support global food equity. The activity encouraged students to reflect on their roles as global citizens and to contribute meaningfully towards building a sustainable and hunger-free world.

World Wildlife Week Celebrations

On October 7, 2025, Maharana Mewar Public School’s INTACH Heritage Club hosted a vibrant event promoting wildlife preservation and ecological balance. The program featured insightful sessions by distinguished speakers:

Dr. Pradeep Sukhwal (Green Peepal Society) shared a compelling visual presentation on wildlife’s role in sustaining natural harmony.

Mr. Pratap Singh Chundawat addressed the pressing threats to biodiversity.

Mr. Sohail Majboor (Deputy Conservator of Forests) and Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar (Retd. IFS) encouraged students to actively engage in conservation efforts.

Mr. S.K. Sharma, Director of MMPS, welcomed guests with eco-friendly bouquets, reflecting the school’s commitment to sustainability. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Naman Mukesh Mehta, Club President.

As part of the 71st Wildlife Week celebrations, Club members- Atif Hussain, Niramay Upachyay, Heemang Dhabhai, and Sahil Soni, participated in a Wildlife Quiz at Eco Tone Park, Badi, organized by the Forest Department and WWF India.

The celebration underscored MMPS's dedication to nurturing environmentally conscious youth and safeguarding biodiversity.

The students of Oxford Grammar High School participated in the puppetry show at the Alai Balai Event conducted on 3rd October at Nampally grounds.

Educational Visit to India Meteorological Department

On October 6, 2025, students of Classes XI and XII Humanities from St. Thomas School visited Mausam Bhavan, the headquarters of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in New Delhi. The trip offered a hands-on understanding of weather forecasting, atmospheric studies, and climate monitoring.
Highlights of the visit included: Satellite Meteorology Division: Students learned how satellites monitor clouds, wind, and sea surface temperatures to aid in real-time weather tracking and warnings. Information Systems & Services Division: As a Regional Telecommunication Hub under WMO, this division provides near real-time meteorological data and weather products.

Surface Meteorological Instruments: Demonstrations included the Stevenson Screen, Rain Gauge, Hygrometer, Weather Thermometer, and Doppler Weather Radar.

Radar Division: Scientists explained how weather radars detect and track cyclones, thunderstorms, and rainfall using reflected radio waves, enabling short-term forecasts (nowcasting).

National Weather Forecasting Centre (NWFC): The hub for daily national forecasts, featuring live satellite and radar imagery. Students were encouraged to explore the IMD website (mausam.imd.gov.in) for updates and alerts.

The visit was both informative and inspiring, deepening students’ appreciation for the science behind weather and its role in disaster management, agriculture, and public safety.

Heritage Walk- Raksha Bandhan Celebrations With Soldiers at International Border Suchetgarh , Jammu

In a heartfelt initiative by INTACH Jammu Chapter, the students of AARAMBH – The INTACH Heritage Club of IDPS Ghoumanhasan celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the brave soldiers stationed at the Suchetgarh Border.

Girl students tied handcrafted rakhis to the soldiers, symbolizing love, respect, and the sacred bond of protection. Meanwhile, the boys expressed their gratitude by presenting tokens of appreciation, honoring the soldiers’ courage and selfless service to the nation.

The event radiated patriotism and cultural pride, instilling in students the values of respect, gratitude, and responsibility toward the protectors of our motherland. Organized under the banner of INTACH Jammu Chapter, the initiative beautifully embodied the spirit of Raksha Bandhan—reminding everyone that our soldiers are the true guardians of every citizen.

World Tourism Day Celebration- 27th September 2025

On the occasion of World Tourism Day INTACH Heritage Club of Maharana Mewar Public School, organized an enriching excursion to Moti Magri. Students of Class VII visited the Maharana Pratap Smarak and the museum, where they explored exhibits showcasing the valour, vision, and legacy of Maharana Pratap. The visit offered students a meaningful opportunity to connect with their cultural roots, while fostering a deeper appreciation for the history and traditions of Mewar. A day well spent in learning, reflection, and pride in heritage.

Junior School Highlights

As part of the INTACH Club, students of Classes III–V engaged in enriching activities to foster pride in India’s cultural heritage and promote conservation values.

Eid-e-Milad Assembly (4 Sept): Students presented prayers, poems, and reflections on kindness and harmony.

Teachers’ Day (5 Sept): Special activities were organized to celebrate the day. Class IV crafted origami flowers with messages; Class V performed role plays on “If I was a teacher…”.

Hindi Diwas: Celebrated with Sulekh competitions, doodling in Hindi, and a vibrant assembly featuring Guru Vandana, skits, and dance.

World Rivers Day: A range of activities were organized to mark the day. Class III watched stories on global rivers; Class IV made flashcards and slogans; Class V created posters on “Rivers – Our Lifeline".

International Day of Peace (21 Sept): Class III drew peace symbols; Class IV shared thoughts on peace; Class V researched peace organizations and held discussions.

Middle School Initiatives

Make Every Day a Green Day (18 Sept): Students wrote slogans and decorated Social Science notebooks with nature-themed art to promote eco-friendly living. The aim of the activity was to encourage students to express their sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable future.

Inter-House Movie-Making (Grade VIII): Films on “The Last Drop – Clean Water, Smart Future” students showcased water conservation and tech-driven solutions, blending heritage with innovation. The event provided students with a platform to showcase their technical skills, storytelling abilities and awareness of global issues through the art of filmmaking.

Nature Walk at Forest Spirit Farm:

Students participated in a nature walk at Forest Spirit Farm and explored biodiversity, practiced observation drawing, and learned eco-friendly habits like composting and water conservation. Here are some of the student reflections:

•"I never knew that manure can be so easy and useful. I am going to try it at home now."
•“Drawing while sitting under a tree helped me notice small details that I usually miss. This made me feel calm and connected."
•Touching the soil and looking closely at the plants, I realized how important nature is. I want to do more to save it.
•"The workshop taught me about waste and water differently. We need to be more responsible."

The visit left a lasting impression, promoting environmental awareness, fostering creativity, and connecting students to the timeless wisdom of our heritage.

Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti (22 Sept): A presentation and quiz highlighted Agrasen’s values of equality and community support, inspiring students to practice generosity and social harmony.

Senior School Engagement
Visit to National Gallery of Modern Art (Class XII): Students explored works by M.F. Hussain, Jamini Roy, Amarnath Sehgal, and others. A curated walk deepened their understanding of Indian art history and how modern art reflects cultural heritage.

Nutrition Week Celebration (1st- 8th Sept'25)

Nutrition Week with interactive activities was organised by INTACH Heritage Club of Maharana Mewar Public School on 8th Sept '25, highlighting the importance of healthy living.

Following activities were conducted:

Expert Talk-

An insightful expert talk on the topic 'Fit For Life: Empowering Children To Make Healthy Choices', was given by Prof. Vishakha Singh, Asso. Professor, Dpt. of Food Science and Nutrition, MPUAT. Her session inspired students to embrace nutritive diets and mindful lifestyle choices. She highlighted the choice of local foods over the processed ones. She was welcomed by Mr. S. K. Sharma, Honorary Director, MMPS.

Nutrition Oath - Dr .Vishakha Singh administered Nutrition Oath. Students took a pledge to opt for healthy eating & active lifestyle. Vote of thanks was given by Club President Naman Mukesh Mehta.

Sugar Boards- CBSE has made it compulsory for all the schools to establish sugar boards and spread awareness regarding the increasing cases of type 2 diabetes & hypertension among students. Members made beautiful informative Sugar Board and club- ln - charge Ms. Pratima Paliwal explained the same.

Aromas (Class VI): Identifying raw kitchen ingredients.
Alimental Cuisines (Class Xl & XII): Inter house cooking competition was organised in which students made millet based wholesome recipes. The dining hall buzzed with enthusiasm as students learned that good nutrition is the foundation of healthy life Dr. Vishakha Singh judged the competition.

HERITAGE WALK TO LODHI GARDENS & CONSERVATION LAB VISIT – THE BRITISH SCHOOL, NEW DELHI

15TH SEPTEMBER 2025

A group of 94 students and 8 teachers from The British School, New Delhi were taken on a heritage walk to Lodhi Gardens, followed by a visit to INTACH’s Conservation Lab on the 15th of September 2025.

The students were then taken for a heritage walk to Lodhi Gardens by Ms. Vaishnavi, Ms. Nanki Kaur, Mr. Deepanshu, and Ms. Aarushi Rana of HECS INTACH. The walk started from Muhammad Shah Sayyid’s tomb, one of the oldest remaining Sayyid monuments in Delhi. The groups were given an insight into how these structures were built, the style of architecture they follow and the different important features within it. The students were then taken to the Bada Gumbad and the Sheesh Mahal tomb. Each of these built structures explained in detail, from their stucco work to their usage and current conditions. Throughout the walk, the features of Indo-Islamic architecture were explained to them, along with interesting facts about each structure.

After the walk, the students were brought to INTACH where they were given an introduction to the organisation and the different aspects of heritage by Ms. Purnima Datt, Principal Director of HECS INTACH.

This was followed by a visit to the Conservation Lab of INTACH where the students were shown the work of the department by Ms. Merrin and her team. Each object was explained thoroughly along with the work that was being done on them to conserve them. Ms. Merrin from the Conservation Lab also gave a short presentation on the conservation projects undertaken by INTACH.

Installation of INTACH Heritage Club- Aarambh

International Delhi Public School, Ghou Manhasan, proudly launched the INTACH Heritage Club – Aarambh, marking a vibrant new chapter in its commitment to cultural preservation and environmental stewardship. The inauguration ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana, followed by a captivating cultural programme that celebrated the rich heritage of Jammu. Students enthralled the audience with melodious Dogri songs and spirited folk dances, beautifully reflecting the deep-rooted traditions of the region.

Following the cultural showcase, the celebration transitioned into a meaningful Plantation Drive, the club’s first environmental initiative. Guided by renowned environmentalist Mr. O.P. Vidhyarthi, students planted 50 saplings, each adopted by a student to ensure its care and growth. Mr. Vidhyarthi shared inspiring insights on ecological responsibility, encouraging students to nurture their green companions with dedication. This memorable occasion was a harmonious blend of heritage and sustainability—beginning with cultural pride and culminating in a collective act of environmental care. Aarambh truly lived up to its name: a fresh beginning, deeply rooted in tradition and reaching toward a greener, more conscious future.

Educational visit to National Science Centre, New Delhi

On 30th August 2025, a group of 80 students from Class VI, accompanied by 5 teachers, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the National Science Centre, located at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. During the visit, students enthusiastically explored a range of galleries, including the Heritage Gallery, Human Biology Section, Information and Communication Technology Gallery, and the Fun Science area. The interactive exhibits and live demonstrations sparked curiosity and deepened their understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on learning. Overall, the trip proved to be a valuable learning experience

The INTACH Heritage Club of Maharana Mewar Public School celebrated the Janmashtami festival with great enthusiasm. Students brought the spirit of occasion alive by portraying Radha and Krishna and taking part in fun traditional games.

Report on Educational Trip to the Supreme Court of India and Indira Gandhi Memorial, 23rd Aug

Students of Classes XI and XII Humanities from St. Thomas School, Loni, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Supreme Court of India, followed by a visit to the Indira Gandhi Memorial. The group, accompanied by teachers was welcomed by court authorities and guided through the visit. Highlights included: A tour of the Chief Justice’s courtroom, where students learned about the Supreme Court’s role as the highest judicial authority and constitutional interpreter. A visit to the three-storeyed library, renowned for its extensive legal resources and cataloguing system. Exploration of the AI-enabled Museum, showcasing how technology is reshaping legal research and documentation. A documentary screening on the Court’s history, structure, and judicial process. Insights into the building’s symbolic architecture, designed as a balance (Tarazu) representing justice.

The group then visited the Indira Gandhi Memorial, where students viewed personal artifacts, photographs, and historical exhibits reflecting the life and legacy of India’s first woman Prime Minister. The trip offered a valuable blend of legal and political learning, deepening students’ understanding of India’s democratic institutions and inspiring civic awareness.

Celebrating 79th Independence Day

Our school celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 15th August 2025.The entire school campus was beautifully decorated with flags, tricolour, ribbons and posters depicting the freedom struggle and national heroes. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony by our principal, followed by the singing National Anthem. After the ceremony, a cultural program was organised. The INTACH Heritage Club students of our school performed P.T. exercises with great energy and enthusiasm. Students presented a patriotic song, dances, skits and speeches highlighting the importance of freedom and unity. The celebration filled the hearts of everyone with pride and love for the country. It was truly a memorable day that inspired all us to contribute towards the progress of our nation.

INTACH Activity for the month of August

August was a vibrant month at DPS Gurgaon, with students from Classes III–V engaging in celebrations that honored India’s heritage, freedom struggle, and scientific achievements.

Junior School

Saga of Independence (13 Aug): Class IV’s annual show paid tribute to freedom fighters through stirring enactments, patriotic dances, and slogans like “Inquilab Zindabad”. Ms. Aditi Misra encouraged students to serve the nation, plant trees, and reduce screen time.

Rakshabandhan Assembly: Classes IV & V celebrated sibling bonds with a skit, dance, and the symbolic tying of rakhis to trees—promoting care for nature.

Janmashtami Assembly: Students presented a lively skit on Krishna and Sudama which highlighted values of kindness and friendship, followed by a festive dance performance.

National Handloom Day: Classes III & V explored the beauty of India’s weaving traditions. They learned about Phanek (Manipur) and Panja Durries (Haryana), fostering pride in India’s weaving traditions and sustainable crafts.

Independence Day Activity: Poster-making, slogan writing, and recitations by Classes III & IV celebrated patriotism and honored freedom fighters.

ISRO Day Activity: Observed ISRO Day wherein they paid tribute to India’s scientific achievements in the field of space and technology. Students learned about India’s space journey. Classes III & IV reflected on Dr. Kalam and Dr. Sarabhai; Class V explored Aditya L-1.

Middle School

Indigenous Art Activity (2 Aug): Students designed coasters inspired by Madhubani, Kalamkari, and Gond art. The hands-on experience deepened appreciation for tribal aesthetics and storytelling, promoting cultural preservation through creative expression.

FILMIT Workshops
Content Workshop by Mr. Faisal Alkazi: Students explored short-film storytelling—choosing themes like family traditions, water conservation, and heritage occupations.

They learned to build suspense, structure narratives, and use music and personality in films.

Technical Workshop by Mr. Ankit & Ms. Himanshi: Covered filmmaking stages—pre-production, shooting, and editing. Emphasis was on strong visuals, clear audio, and showing rather than telling. A short film and editing demo wrapped up the session.

World Indigenous Day (11 Aug) Class XI students created bookmarks using recycled materials, celebrating tribal art and sustainability.

Poetry Expressions: Students beautifully articulated their emotions and appreciation for their families through original poems, reflecting on the role their loved ones play in shaping their lives.

Primary Grade Enactment: Young learners presented a moving skit that highlighted the significance of family and the cherished role of grandparents. Through their performance, they portrayed grandparents as the nurturing roots of the family tree—offering strength, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration, 26th July 2025

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism in the school on 26th July to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers who fought during the Kargil War in 1999. The celebration began with a special morning assembly, where students presented speech, poems highlighting the significance of the day. Students created artwork and drawing showcasing their creativity blended with patriotism. The principal also shared words of encouragement and emphasized the importance of remembering and respecting our national heroes. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and gratitude towards the nation. Documentary on National Flag of India

On August 11, the Heritage Club screened a documentary on the National Flag of India, Title: "The Tiranga: A Symbol of Pride". The event highlighted the rich history, design, and significance of the National Flag. The documentary aimed to educate students about the flag's evolution, its importance in Indian history, and the values it represents.

The Heritage Club's objective in screening the documentary was to educate students about India's rich cultural heritage and responsibility among the younger generation.

Van Mahotsav Students celebrated the importance of trees and sustainability through creative activities:

Class V: Participated in a JAM session on the value of trees. A video on the Chipko Movement inspired reflection on environmental conservation.

Van Mahotsav – Rooting for a Greener Tomorrow On 18th July, students planted medicinal herbs like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, and Neem in decorated earthen pots. The initiative promoted environmental responsibility and traditional herbal knowledge, transforming school corridors into a vibrant green zone.

Senior School Highlights

International Justice Day Classes XI–XII viewed a documentary on global justice systems and wrote personal pledges to uphold fairness, equality, and ethical conduct.

INTACH Inter-School Competitions Six students participated in the “Celebrating India” poster and essay competition. Jiya Kaur won First Position for her creative engagement with heritage and environmental themes.

Van Mahotsav Challenge Students took part in INTACH’s plantation drive. Soham Anand (Class VI) secured Third Position, reinforcing the value of sustainability.

Green Legacy - Sowing Heritage, Growing Future the Dharohar Club led a dual initiative: a tree plantation drive and revival of traditional Indian games like kho-kho. The activity beautifully merged ecological awareness with cultural heritage.

The heritage club members of the school participated in local traditional craft exhibition of kavad, poetry, painting etc. at Zanana Mahal, City Palace Museum. They tried their hands on pottery making and other crafts. The students also appreciated the architecture in the Zanana Mahal.

International Yoga Day

On 21st June 2025 the INTACH Heritage Club students of St. Anthony School celebrated the 11th International yoga Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. Activities were organised around the theme of "yoga for well being", emphasizing the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. Expert and yoga instructors led sessions for students, focusing on various yoga poses breathing techniques and meditation. Students who could not make it physically for the session, was encouraged to join the session at home and share their pictures. Overall the session was a huge encouragement to the students to adopt Yoga and lead a healthy lifestyle.


Modern Senior Secondary School, Sikkim

Celebrating International Museum Day (18th May 2025) and World Cultural Diversity Day (21st may 2025)

On 18th May 2025, members of the Heritage Club from Modern Senior Secondary School marked International Museum Day with an educational visit to the Sikkim State Museum and Archives. Fifteen students, accompanied by escort teachers Ms. Yahchen Sherpa and Mrs. Ranju Bhutia, participated in the enriching experience. Inspector Tashi Wangyal Lepcha introduced students to the museum archives and the traditional paper-making method using Algeri (Edgeworthia Gardener). Students showed great enthusiasm as they learned about historical documentation and preservation techniques. They explored a collection of antiques, gaining insight into their historical uses. Preservation Officer L. N. Sharma explained the process of antique restoration and presented visual documentation of ancient monuments restored by the Archaeological Department.

On 21st May, the Heritage Club commemorated World Cultural Diversity Day by organizing a special school assembly. Students created informative charts, delivered speeches, and shared facts highlighting the significance of cultural diversity. Club members proudly wore their traditional attire, representing India’s vibrant mosaic of cultures and communities. The event concluded with a group song performance of “Hind Desh Ke Niwasi”, celebrating the unity that thrives in diversity. These celebrations fostered awareness, respect, and appreciation for heritage and cultural identity among the students.

With school closed for the junior and middle wing for the summer vacation, the senior school remained functional till the first week of the month of June. Alongside academics, the senior students engaged in activities and summer programme.

Yoga Day Celebration
In early June, students of DPS Gurgaon celebrated Yoga Day with enthusiasm. Led by a certified instructor, they practiced breathing and mindfulness techniques, followed by meditation. The session promoted mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical well-being.

Heritage Tour to Humayun’s Tomb & Sunder Nursery
On 3rd June, DPS Sector 45 teachers joined a heritage walk at Humayun’s Tomb, guided by storyteller Mr. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai. The tour included a museum visit and a peaceful stroll through Sunder Nursery, offering deep insight into Mughal architecture and legacy.

National Museum Summer Internship
As part of the ITIHAAS Programme, students interned at the National Museum, New Delhi, focusing on the Harappan Gallery. They explored ancient artifacts and engaged in exhibit planning, gaining valuable exposure to museum operations and heritage preservation.

‘Being Gandhi’ Summer Programme Students immersed themselves in Gandhian values through interactive experiences like spinning the charkha, visiting a replica of Gandhi’s home, and learning about his non-violent philosophy. The programme deepened their understanding of India’s cultural roots and leadership legacy.

In May 2025, the Junior, Middle, and Senior School INTACH Clubs of DPS Gurgaon conducted a series of engaging activities to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage.

Junior School Activities (Classes 3–5)

International Day of Families:

Students explored the importance of family and heritage through creative activities. Class 3 illustrated their families using Warli art, Class 4 made 'Thank You' cards to express gratitude, and Class 5 created family trees with compliments, deepening their connection to their roots.

International Museum Day:

Students of Classes 3–5 learned about the role of museums and proper visitor etiquette through a PowerPoint presentation. They noted key takeaways in their activity books, emphasizing respect for exhibits, silence, and not touching artifacts.

World Cultural Diversity Day:

Class 3 illustrated their favourite festivals, while Class 4 created vibrant collages on Indian festivals. Class 5 doodled the names of five global languages. These activities enhanced creativity and deepened students’ appreciation of cultural diversity.

Middle School Activities

Harmony in Diversity (2nd May):

Middle school students celebrated traditional Indian crafts by decorating recycled paper bags with Phulkari and Blue Pottery motifs. This hands-on activity blended creativity with sustainability, teaching the cultural significance of these art forms while promoting eco-friendly practices—reflecting INTACH’s commitment to heritage and environmental awareness.

Author Interaction (3rd May):

Students of Classes VI and VII engaged in an inspiring session with historian and heritage activist Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, known for his books on Delhi’s architectural heritage. Through storytelling and discussion, he highlighted the importance of preserving history, shared insights into stepwells (baolis), and encouraged students to explore and document local heritage.

Guest Speaker Programme:

Mr. Rohit Kohli (AGCO) addressed Class VIII on India’s agricultural heritage, linking traditional practices with modern innovations in sustainable farming.

Senior School Activities

Constitution Day:

Students wrote creative newspaper articles on historical figures who helped shape India’s democracy, blending research with storytelling.

National Museum Day Challenge:

Students (Classes VIII–X) created “Home Museums,” displaying family heirlooms and reflecting on their cultural roots.

Centenary Heritage Museum Walk

On 18th May, to mark World Museum Day, students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 from the Pracheena Heritage Club participated in a Centenary Heritage Museum Walk organized by the Deccan Heritage Academy Trust.

The museum featured artifacts in terracotta, stucco, metal, bronze, wood, and porcelain from sites like Chinnamaruru, Kondapur, and Keesaragutta. Stucco pieces from Phanigiri and Siddheswaram, and stone sculptures from the Ikshvaku, Kakatiya, and Vijayanagara periods (from Nalgonda and Warangal) were on display.

Four galleries showcased prehistoric, Neolithic, and megalithic objects. The second floor highlighted cave and temple art from sites like Ketavaram, Lepakshi, and Pandavulagutta, along with Ajanta replicas and works by A.R. Chugtai, and other global art influences. The walk gave students valuable insights into India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Parshuram Jayanti: Dramatic Presentation

On the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, the INTACH Heritage Club students of St. Anthony’s School, Udaipur, presented a compelling dramatic performance celebrating the life and values of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Known for his wisdom, valor, and unwavering commitment to justice, Lord Parshuram’s story was brought to life on stage with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The students vividly portrayed key episodes from Lord Parshuram's life, particularly highlighting his obedience and devotion to his father. The performance effectively conveyed the profound moral and spiritual lessons embodied in his journey.

The young actors donned elaborate and well-crafted costumes that added authenticity and vibrancy to the portrayal of mythological characters, enhancing the overall visual impact.

Impressive Dialogue Delivery
With clear diction and expressive delivery, the students brought emotional depth to their characters, capturing the essence of Lord Parshuram’s teachings and legacy.

The presentation was a resounding success, showcasing the students’ creativity, teamwork, and deep understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage. It stood as a meaningful tribute to Lord Parshuram and an inspiring celebration of tradition and values.

Heritage Club Activity For the month of April
Junior School

To introduce young learners (Classes III–V) to heritage awareness, students were shown videos and presentations about INTACH and India’s World Heritage sites. On World Heritage Day, they discussed the importance of preserving historic monuments, and Class V students shared artwork and presentations on musical instruments, highlighting India’s cultural legacy.

The Baisakhi Assembly on 9th April, led by Ravi House, celebrated our agrarian roots. Senior school students opened the session, followed by a thought-provoking skit and energetic dance performance, emphasizing the festival’s cultural and historical importance.

Earth Day was marked through interactive classroom activities. Class III made badges, Class IV performed role-plays, and Class V had a JAM session on “Save Our Earth – Now or Never.” A special assembly themed Our Power, Our Planet featured a Nukkad Natak and talks encouraging sustainable practices and the use of renewable energy.

Middle School

On 5th April, students participated in A Taste of Heritage, preparing fireless traditional dishes like jhal muri and doichira. They shared the cultural history behind each dish, enhancing their appreciation for India’s culinary diversity.

Teachers attended a Training Workshop at INTACH headquarters, learning from experts like Dr. Swapna Liddle and Anirudh Kanisetti about architectural history, monument conservation, and student engagement strategies.

Class VIII participated in a workshop titled Embracing Values through Indian Heritage, where they explored moral values like empathy, honesty, and teamwork through stories, videos, and group reflection, guided by Ms. Dinu Raheja of tGELF.

Senior School

On 5th April, Class X students went on a Heritage Walk to Humayun’s Tomb, Sunder Nursery, and the Sunken Museum. The trip offered a hands-on exploration of Delhi’s history, Mughal architecture, biodiversity, and artistic heritage.

Class XII History students visited the National Museum, engaging with artefacts from ancient to medieval India. A virtual tour of Ajanta and Ellora caves provided immersive learning about India’s artistic and spiritual traditions.

On World Earth Day, select Class XI students participated in an INTACH Poster-Making Competition using biodegradable materials, creatively promoting eco-consciousness.

To mark World Heritage Day on 18th April, Class XI students joined the Atulya Bharat National Heritage Quiz organized by Manipal University, Jaipur, celebrating India’s diverse heritage.

Earth Day Celebration, 22nd April 2025

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org (formerly Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

On the occasion of Earth Day on April 22, 2025 various activities were done by the heritage club students to stimulate young hearts with the feeling of belongingness with our planet. Students adopted plants and initiated to make a green classroom.

Tree Plantation Drive:
Students actively participated in planting saplings within the school campus and nearby areas. Each sapling symbolized a pledge to care for the environment and contribute to the fight against climate change.

The British School Heritage Walk to Lodhi Garden, 18th March 2025

INTACH's Heritage Education and Communication Division (HECS) organised an insightful heritage walk and session for 90 students from The British School, New Delhi, at Lodhi Garden and INTACH on 18th March, 2025. The walk was led by Ms. Nanki, Ms. Vaishnavi, Mr. Abhishek, and Mr. Deepanshu of the HECS team. They began the first half of their walk at Muhammad Shah's Tomb, receiving educational insights into its history, architecture, and cultural significance. The second half of the walk took them to Sheesh Gumbad, Bada Gumbad, and Sikander Lodhi's Tomb, continuing their exploration. At INTACH headquarters, students attended a lecture on heritage by HECS Principal Director Ms. Purnima Datt and on conservation by Ms. Merrin Anil, Centre Director of Art and Material Heritage, INTACH and also visited the conservation labs to observe preservation processes. The walk encouraged active exploration and proved to be an insightful and enriching experience for all participants.

Visit to L. D. Museum, Ahmedabad, 19th February 2025

Sheth C. N. English Medium School, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has established a Heritage Club to educate, inspire, and connect students with history. Two teachers and twenty students were selected as members of the club.

As part of their activities, the school organized a visit to the L.D. Museum, Ahmedabad, on 19th February. This renowned museum houses an exceptional collection of sculptures, manuscripts, paintings, and artifacts. The sculpture section featured intricately crafted stone and bronze statues, showcasing remarkable artistic expertise. Ancient manuscripts provided valuable insights into historical texts and scripts. The painting gallery exhibited vibrant artworks depicting significant historical events and cultural heritage. Additionally, the artifacts, including coins and tools, offered a fascinating glimpse into past civilizations. Each exhibit was well-preserved and highly informative, enhancing the students’ understanding and appreciation of art, history, and cultural evolution.

During the visit, students were divided into groups and assigned various tasks, such as creating live sketches, recording videos explaining the significance of the exhibits, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and designing quizzes based on their observations. Following the visit and completion of these activities, they were given the task of developing a website for the Heritage Club. Makar Sankranti marks the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign of Capricorn (Makara), signalling the end of the winter solstice and the beginning of longer days. Educational Visit to National Museum, New Delhi and The Times of India Office

On 6th December 2025, students of Classes XI and XII (Humanities and Fine Arts) visited the National Museum, New Delhi, organized by the Social Science Department to deepen their understanding of India’s history, art, and culture.

The guided tour began with the Maurya, Shunga, and Satavahana Gallery, where Buddha was symbolically represented through the Dharmachakra, Bodhi tree, and footprints. The students then explored the Kushana and Gupta Galleries, showcasing Gandhara and Mathura art. The Kushana period marked the first physical depictions of Buddha, while Gupta art achieved unmatched perfection. The Harappan Gallery displayed seals, pottery, jewellery, and the famous Dancing Girl, highlighting the advanced urban life of the Indus Valley Civilization. The Medieval Arts Gallery reflected regional diversity, while the Decorative Arts Galleries presented ivory, jade, ceramics, and everyday objects from the 16th–20th centuries. The Miniature Paintings Gallery impressed us with over 17,000 artworks spanning 900 years, including Mughal, Rajasthani, and Pahari styles.

Bronze Gallery – masterpieces from Nalanda, Kashmir, and Tibet.
Manuscripts Gallery – 14,000 texts on religion, philosophy, and science.

The visit was both educational and enriching, offering students firsthand exposure to India’s cultural and historical heritage, bridging classroom learning with authentic artifacts.

Visiting The Times of India printing press was an extremely enjoyable and educational experience. The visit helped the students understand the creativity and strength of Indian technology. They learned that newspapers will not become extinct for at least the next 50 years due to continuous innovation. The visit gave them a deep insights into large-scale printing, journalism, and career opportunities in the media industry. The cleanliness, organization, and excellent maintenance of the massive machines and infrastructure were truly impressive. Overall, the visit was memorable and absolutely worth it.

Junior School

Armed Forces Flag Day (Dec 7): Students of Classes III–V honoured soldiers and veterans. Class III drew flags of the three defence forces and spoke about their importance, while Classes IV–V expressed gratitude through flags, slogans, and messages.

Energy Conservation Day (Dec 14): Students learned about renewable energy and the need to save energy. Class IV made posters on “Conserve to Preserve”, and Class V illustrated a bulb divided into four parts, naming renewable sources.

National Farmer’s Day (Dec 23): Class III watched a farming video and drew their favourite farm foods. Class IV created a flowchart showing the journey of food “From farm to our plates.”

Gurupurab Assembly: Ganges House celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings under the theme "Light of Wisdom." Students performed short acts on sharing, honest work, and equality. The assembly concluded with Headmistress Ms. Kanu Chopra’s message on truth, kindness, and compassion.

Conserve Today, Sustain Tomorrow: Students created posters on recycled sheets highlighting energy conservation, renewable energy, and sustainability. The activity promoted creativity, responsibility, and awareness of reusing resources.

Filmit Films: Class VIII students produced four creative videos after workshops, two shared in October and two in December, showcasing originality and effort for the INTACH jury.

Sustainable Doll Making: Dharohar Club conducted a hands-on session using discarded materials like newspapers and scrap fabric. Students crafted sturdy dolls through eco-friendly techniques, blending sustainability with Indian craft traditions. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and environmental responsibility.

INTACH Heritage Quiz- - Gyan Ki Tarangini

True to its name, the event was a flowing river of knowledge. The INTACH Heritage Club of Essence International School organized a Heritage Quiz to foster awareness and appreciation of India’s cultural, historical, and architectural legacy. Students from various classes, who are proud members of the Heritage Club, participated with great enthusiasm. They showcased their knowledge of monuments, traditions, historical events, and eminent personalities, reflecting both curiosity and pride in our heritage.

The quiz featured multiple rounds, including visual identification, rapid-fire questions, and general knowledge, keeping the participants engaged and the competition spirited. The audience too was involved through interactive questions, which added liveliness and made the session truly informative. The event successfully achieved its objective of inspiring students to learn about and take pride in our rich heritage. Winners were honored with medals, while all participants were appreciated for their active involvement.

The program concluded on a high note, with heartfelt recognition of the dedicated efforts of teachers Vandana Shaw, Anamika Sahoo, Ashwini Raut, Pallavi Giri, Ashwini Bhatarkar, and Nishikant Sahare, whose guidance made the event possible. Their contribution was warmly acknowledged by the Respected Quality Coordinator, Mrs. Jaishri Sastri. Daan Utsav & Garage Sale Held on 8th October 2025, this annual event emphasized the joy of giving and compassion. Educational Excursion- Dilli Darshan Students of Classes III–V enjoyed a day exploring Delhi’s iconic landmarks including Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and Nehru Planetarium. The trip blended fun with learning, strengthening peer bonds and cultural awareness.

World Food Day Class IV students explored the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future” through discussions on healthy diets and sustainable food practices, promoting awareness of global food challenges.

Educational Visit to India Meteorological Department

On October 6, 2025, students of Classes XI and XII Humanities from St. Thomas School visited Mausam Bhavan, the headquarters of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in New Delhi. The trip offered a hands-on understanding of weather forecasting, atmospheric studies, and climate monitoring.
Highlights of the visit included: Satellite Meteorology Division: Students learned how satellites monitor clouds, wind, and sea surface temperatures to aid in real-time weather tracking and warnings. Information Systems & Services Division: As a Regional Telecommunication Hub under WMO, this division provides near real-time meteorological data and weather products.

Surface Meteorological Instruments: Demonstrations included the Stevenson Screen, Rain Gauge, Hygrometer, Weather Thermometer, and Doppler Weather Radar.

Radar Division: Scientists explained how weather radars detect and track cyclones, thunderstorms, and rainfall using reflected radio waves, enabling short-term forecasts (nowcasting).

National Weather Forecasting Centre (NWFC): The hub for daily national forecasts, featuring live satellite and radar imagery. Students were encouraged to explore the IMD website (mausam.imd.gov.in) for updates and alerts.

The visit was both informative and inspiring, deepening students’ appreciation for the science behind weather and its role in disaster management, agriculture, and public safety.

Heritage Walk- Raksha Bandhan Celebrations With Soldiers at International Border Suchetgarh , Jammu

In a heartfelt initiative by INTACH Jammu Chapter, the students of AARAMBH – The INTACH Heritage Club of IDPS Ghoumanhasan celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the brave soldiers stationed at the Suchetgarh Border.

Girl students tied handcrafted rakhis to the soldiers, symbolizing love, respect, and the sacred bond of protection. Meanwhile, the boys expressed their gratitude by presenting tokens of appreciation, honoring the soldiers’ courage and selfless service to the nation.

The event radiated patriotism and cultural pride, instilling in students the values of respect, gratitude, and responsibility toward the protectors of our motherland. Inter-House Movie-Making (Grade VIII): Films on “The Last Drop – Clean Water, Smart Future” students showcased water conservation and tech-driven solutions, blending heritage with innovation. The event provided students with a platform to showcase their technical skills, storytelling abilities and awareness of global issues through the art of filmmaking.

Nature Walk at Forest Spirit Farm:

Students participated in a nature walk at Forest Spirit Farm and explored biodiversity, practiced observation drawing, and learned eco-friendly habits like composting and water conservation. Here are some of the student reflections:

•"I never knew that manure can be so easy and useful. I am going to try it at home now."
•“Drawing while sitting under a tree helped me notice small details that I usually miss. This made me feel calm and connected."

Her session inspired students to embrace nutritive diets and mindful lifestyle choices. She highlighted the choice of local foods over the processed ones. She was welcomed by Mr. S. K. Sharma, Honorary Director, MMPS.

Nutrition Oath - Dr .Vishakha Singh administered Nutrition Oath. Students took a pledge to opt for healthy eating & active lifestyle. Vote of thanks was given by Club President Naman Mukesh Mehta.

Sugar Boards- CBSE has made it compulsory for all the schools to establish sugar boards and spread awareness regarding the increasing cases of type 2 diabetes & hypertension among students. Members made beautiful informative Sugar Board and club- ln - charge Ms. Pratima Paliwal explained the same.

Alimental Cuisines (Class Xl & XII): Inter house cooking competition was organised in which students made millet based wholesome recipes. The dining hall buzzed with enthusiasm as students learned that good nutrition is the foundation of healthy life Dr. Vishakha Singh judged the competition.

HERITAGE WALK TO LODHI GARDENS & CONSERVATION LAB VISIT – THE BRITISH SCHOOL, NEW DELHI

15TH SEPTEMBER 2025

A group of 94 students and 8 teachers from The British School, New Delhi were taken on a heritage walk to Lodhi Gardens, followed by a visit to INTACH’s Conservation Lab on the 15th of September 2025.

The students were then taken for a heritage walk to Lodhi Gardens by Ms. Vaishnavi, Ms. Nanki Kaur, Mr. Deepanshu, and Ms. Aarushi Rana of HECS INTACH. The walk started from Muhammad Shah Sayyid’s tomb, one of the oldest remaining Sayyid monuments in Delhi. The groups were given an insight into how these structures were built, the style of architecture they follow and the different important features within it. The students were then taken to the Bada Gumbad and the Sheesh Mahal tomb. Each of these built structures explained in detail, from their stucco work to their usage and current conditions. Throughout the walk, the features of Indo-Islamic architecture were explained to them, along with interesting facts about each structure.

After the walk, the students were brought to INTACH where they were given an introduction to the organisation and the different aspects of heritage by Ms. Purnima Datt, Principal Director of HECS INTACH.

This was followed by a visit to the Conservation Lab of INTACH where the students were shown the work of the department by Ms. Merrin and her team. Each object was explained thoroughly along with the work that was being done on them to conserve them. Ms. Merrin from the Conservation Lab also gave a short presentation on the conservation projects undertaken by INTACH.

Mr. Vidhyarthi shared inspiring insights on ecological responsibility, encouraging students to nurture their green companions with dedication. This memorable occasion was a harmonious blend of heritage and sustainability—beginning with cultural pride and culminating in a collective act of environmental care. On 30th August 2025, a group of 80 students from Class VI, accompanied by 5 teachers, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the National Science Centre, located at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Students of Classes XI and XII Humanities from St. Thomas School, Loni, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Supreme Court of India, followed by a visit to the Indira Gandhi Memorial. The group, accompanied by teachers was welcomed by court authorities and guided through the visit. Highlights included: A tour of the Chief Justice’s courtroom, where students learned about the Supreme Court’s role as the highest judicial authority and constitutional interpreter. A visit to the three-storeyed library, renowned for its extensive legal resources and cataloguing system. Exploration of the AI-enabled Museum, showcasing how technology is reshaping legal research and documentation. A documentary screening on the Court’s history, structure, and judicial process. Insights into the building’s symbolic architecture, designed as a balance (Tarazu) representing justice.

The group then visited the Indira Gandhi Memorial, where students viewed personal artifacts, photographs, and historical exhibits reflecting the life and legacy of India’s first woman Prime Minister. Our school celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 15th August 2025.The entire school campus was beautifully decorated with flags, tricolour, ribbons and posters depicting the freedom struggle and national heroes. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony by our principal, followed by the singing National Anthem. After the ceremony, a cultural program was organised. The INTACH Heritage Club students of our school performed P.T. exercises with great energy and enthusiasm. INTACH Activity for the month of August

August was a vibrant month at DPS Gurgaon, with students from Classes III–V engaging in celebrations that honored India’s heritage, freedom struggle, and scientific achievements.

Junior School

Saga of Independence (13 Aug): Class IV’s annual show paid tribute to freedom fighters through stirring enactments, patriotic dances, and slogans like “Inquilab Zindabad”. Ms. Aditi Misra encouraged students to serve the nation, plant trees, and reduce screen time.

Rakshabandhan Assembly: Classes IV & V celebrated sibling bonds with a skit, dance, and the symbolic tying of rakhis to trees—promoting care for nature.

Janmashtami Assembly: Students presented a lively skit on Krishna and Sudama which highlighted values of kindness and friendship, followed by a festive dance performance.

National Handloom Day: Classes III & V explored the beauty of India’s weaving traditions. They learned about Phanek (Manipur) and Panja Durries (Haryana), fostering pride in India’s weaving traditions and sustainable crafts.

Independence Day Activity: Poster-making, slogan writing, and recitations by Classes III & IV celebrated patriotism and honored freedom fighters.

ISRO Day Activity: Observed ISRO Day wherein they paid tribute to India’s scientific achievements in the field of space and technology. Students learned about India’s space journey. Classes III & IV reflected on Dr. Kalam and Dr. Sarabhai; Class V explored Aditya L-1.

Middle School

Indigenous Art Activity (2 Aug): Students designed coasters inspired by Madhubani, Kalamkari, and Gond art. The hands-on experience deepened appreciation for tribal aesthetics and storytelling, promoting cultural preservation through creative expression.

FILMIT Workshops
Content Workshop by Mr. Faisal Alkazi: Students explored short-film storytelling—choosing themes like family traditions, water conservation, and heritage occupations.

They learned to build suspense, structure narratives, and use music and personality in films.

Technical Workshop by Mr. Ankit & Ms. Himanshi: Covered filmmaking stages—pre-production, shooting, and editing. Emphasis was on strong visuals, clear audio, and showing rather than telling. A short film and editing demo wrapped up the session.

India: Rooted in Tradition, Rising with Ideas (2 Aug) Classes VI–VIII celebrated India’s heritage and innovation through: Coaster-making inspired by tribal art (Madhubani, Kalamkari, Gond); Sowing Traditions comparing traditional and smart farming; Patriotic Song Circle and a Guest Speaker Programme fostering creativity, empathy, and leadership

To instill the values of love, respect, and togetherness, the INTACH Heritage Club at Maharana Mewar Public School celebrated the International Day of Families with heartfelt activities that emphasized the importance of familial bonds.

Poetry Expressions: Students beautifully articulated their emotions and appreciation for their families through original poems, reflecting on the role their loved ones play in shaping their lives.

Primary Grade Enactment: Young learners presented a moving skit that highlighted the significance of family and the cherished role of grandparents. Through their performance, they portrayed grandparents as the nurturing roots of the family tree—offering strength, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration, 26th July 2025

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism in the school on 26th July to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers who fought during the Kargil War in 1999. The celebration began with a special morning assembly, where students presented speech, poems highlighting the significance of the day. Students created artwork and drawing showcasing their creativity blended with patriotism. The principal also shared words of encouragement and emphasized the importance of remembering and respecting our national heroes. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and gratitude towards the nation. The Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration in school was a heartfelt tribute to our brave soldiers and reminded everyone with the bravery of our heroes and the importance of national unity and pride.

On April 17, the school celebrated World Heritage Day with great enthusiasm and fervor during the morning assembly. The event was a vibrant showcase of our rich cultural heritage, with students creatively representing the Seven Wonders of the World.

Documentary on National Flag of India

On August 11, the Heritage Club screened a documentary on the National Flag of India, Title: "The Tiranga: A Symbol of Pride". The event highlighted the rich history, design, and significance of the National Flag. The documentary aimed to educate students about the flag's evolution, its importance in Indian history, and the values it represents.

The Heritage Club's objective in screening the documentary was to educate students about India's rich cultural heritage and responsibility among the younger generation.

Junior School Highlights

Van Mahotsav Students celebrated the importance of trees and sustainability through creative activities:
Class III: Illustrated the uses of trees.
Class IV: Designed “Save Trees” badges and wrote slogans.
Class V: Participated in a JAM session on the value of trees. A video on the Chipko Movement inspired reflection on environmental conservation.
Rakhi making to honour Raksha Bandhan, students crafted eco-friendly rakhis, celebrating love, protection, and family values rooted in Indian tradition.

Middle School Highlights

Van Mahotsav – Rooting for a Greener Tomorrow On 18th July, students planted medicinal herbs like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, and Neem in decorated earthen pots. The initiative promoted environmental responsibility and traditional herbal knowledge, transforming school corridors into a vibrant green zone.

Senior School Highlights

International Justice Day Classes XI–XII viewed a documentary on global justice systems and wrote personal pledges to uphold fairness, equality, and ethical conduct.

INTACH Inter-School Competitions Six students participated in the “Celebrating India” poster and essay competition. Jiya Kaur won First Position for her creative engagement with heritage and environmental themes.

Van Mahotsav Challenge Students took part in INTACH’s plantation drive. Soham Anand (Class VI) secured Third Position, reinforcing the value of sustainability.

Green Legacy - Sowing Heritage, Growing Future the Dharohar Club led a dual initiative: a tree plantation drive and revival of traditional Indian games like kho-kho. The activity beautifully merged ecological awareness with cultural heritage.

The heritage club members of the school participated in local traditional craft exhibition of kavad, poetry, painting etc. at Zanana Mahal, City Palace Museum. They tried their hands on pottery making and other crafts. The students also appreciated the architecture in the Zanana Mahal.

International Yoga Day

On 21st June 2025 the INTACH Heritage Club students of St. Anthony School celebrated the 11th International yoga Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. Activities were organised around the theme of "yoga for well being", emphasizing the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. Expert and yoga instructors led sessions for students, focusing on various yoga poses breathing techniques and meditation. Students who could not make it physically for the session, was encouraged to join the session at home and share their pictures. Overall the session was a huge encouragement to the students to adopt Yoga and lead a healthy lifestyle.


Modern Senior Secondary School, Sikkim

Celebrating International Museum Day (18th May 2025) and World Cultural Diversity Day (21st may 2025)

On 18th May 2025, members of the Heritage Club from Modern Senior Secondary School marked International Museum Day with an educational visit to the Sikkim State Museum and Archives. Fifteen students, accompanied by escort teachers Ms. Yahchen Sherpa and Mrs. Ranju Bhutia, participated in the enriching experience. Inspector Tashi Wangyal Lepcha introduced students to the museum archives and the traditional paper-making method using Algeri (Edgeworthia Gardener). Students showed great enthusiasm as they learned about historical documentation and preservation techniques. They explored a collection of antiques, gaining insight into their historical uses. Preservation Officer L. N. Sharma explained the process of antique restoration and presented visual documentation of ancient monuments restored by the Archaeological Department.

On 21st May, the Heritage Club commemorated World Cultural Diversity Day by organizing a special school assembly. Students created informative charts, delivered speeches, and shared facts highlighting the significance of cultural diversity. Club members proudly wore their traditional attire, representing India’s vibrant mosaic of cultures and communities. The event concluded with a group song performance of “Hind Desh Ke Niwasi”, celebrating the unity that thrives in diversity. These celebrations fostered awareness, respect, and appreciation for heritage and cultural identity among the students.

With school closed for the junior and middle wing for the summer vacation, the senior school remained functional till the first week of the month of June. Alongside academics, the senior students engaged in activities and summer programme.

Yoga Day Celebration
In early June, students of DPS Gurgaon celebrated Yoga Day with enthusiasm. Led by a certified instructor, they practiced breathing and mindfulness techniques, followed by meditation. The session promoted mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical well-being.

Heritage Tour to Humayun’s Tomb & Sunder Nursery
On 3rd June, DPS Sector 45 teachers joined a heritage walk at Humayun’s Tomb, guided by storyteller Mr. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai. The tour included a museum visit and a peaceful stroll through Sunder Nursery, offering deep insight into Mughal architecture and legacy.

National Museum Summer Internship
As part of the ITIHAAS Programme, students interned at the National Museum, New Delhi, focusing on the Harappan Gallery. They explored ancient artifacts and engaged in exhibit planning, gaining valuable exposure to museum operations and heritage preservation.

‘Being Gandhi’ Summer Programme Students immersed themselves in Gandhian values through interactive experiences like spinning the charkha, visiting a replica of Gandhi’s home, and learning about his non-violent philosophy. The programme deepened their understanding of India’s cultural roots and leadership legacy.

INTACH Heritage Club – May Activity Report

In May 2025, the Junior, Middle, and Senior School INTACH Clubs of DPS Gurgaon conducted a series of engaging activities to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage.

Junior School Activities (Classes 3–5)

International Day of Families:

Students explored the importance of family and heritage through creative activities. Class 3 illustrated their families using Warli art, Class 4 made 'Thank You' cards to express gratitude, and Class 5 created family trees with compliments, deepening their connection to their roots.

International Museum Day:

Students of Classes 3–5 learned about the role of museums and proper visitor etiquette through a PowerPoint presentation. They noted key takeaways in their activity books, emphasizing respect for exhibits, silence, and not touching artifacts.

World Cultural Diversity Day:

Class 3 illustrated their favourite festivals, while Class 4 created vibrant collages on Indian festivals. Class 5 doodled the names of five global languages. These activities enhanced creativity and deepened students’ appreciation of cultural diversity.

Middle School Activities

Harmony in Diversity (2nd May):

Middle school students celebrated traditional Indian crafts by decorating recycled paper bags with Phulkari and Blue Pottery motifs. This hands-on activity blended creativity with sustainability, teaching the cultural significance of these art forms while promoting eco-friendly practices—reflecting INTACH’s commitment to heritage and environmental awareness.

Author Interaction (3rd May):

Students of Classes VI and VII engaged in an inspiring session with historian and heritage activist Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, known for his books on Delhi’s architectural heritage. Through storytelling and discussion, he highlighted the importance of preserving history, shared insights into stepwells (baolis), and encouraged students to explore and document local heritage.

Guest Speaker Programme:

Mr. Rohit Kohli (AGCO) addressed Class VIII on India’s agricultural heritage, linking traditional practices with modern innovations in sustainable farming.

Senior School Activities

Constitution Day:

Students wrote creative newspaper articles on historical figures who helped shape India’s democracy, blending research with storytelling.

National Museum Day Challenge:

Students (Classes VIII–X) created “Home Museums,” displaying family heirlooms and reflecting on their cultural roots.

Oxford Grammar School, Hyderabad

Centenary Heritage Museum Walk

On 18th May, to mark World Museum Day, students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 from the Pracheena Heritage Club participated in a Centenary Heritage Museum Walk organized by the Deccan Heritage Academy Trust.

The museum featured artifacts in terracotta, stucco, metal, bronze, wood, and porcelain from sites like Chinnamaruru, Kondapur, and Keesaragutta. Stucco pieces from Phanigiri and Siddheswaram, and stone sculptures from the Ikshvaku, Kakatiya, and Vijayanagara periods (from Nalgonda and Warangal) were on display.

Four galleries showcased prehistoric, Neolithic, and megalithic objects. The second floor highlighted cave and temple art from sites like Ketavaram, Lepakshi, and Pandavulagutta, along with Ajanta replicas and works by A.R. Chugtai, and other global art influences. The walk gave students valuable insights into India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Parshuram Jayanti: Dramatic Presentation

On the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, the INTACH Heritage Club students of St. Anthony’s School, Udaipur, presented a compelling dramatic performance celebrating the life and values of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Known for his wisdom, valor, and unwavering commitment to justice, Lord Parshuram’s story was brought to life on stage with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The students vividly portrayed key episodes from Lord Parshuram's life, particularly highlighting his obedience and devotion to his father. The performance effectively conveyed the profound moral and spiritual lessons embodied in his journey.

The young actors donned elaborate and well-crafted costumes that added authenticity and vibrancy to the portrayal of mythological characters, enhancing the overall visual impact.

Impressive Dialogue Delivery
With clear diction and expressive delivery, the students brought emotional depth to their characters, capturing the essence of Lord Parshuram’s teachings and legacy.

The presentation was a resounding success, showcasing the students’ creativity, teamwork, and deep understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage. It stood as a meaningful tribute to Lord Parshuram and an inspiring celebration of tradition and values.

Heritage Club Activity For the month of April
Junior School

To introduce young learners (Classes III–V) to heritage awareness, students were shown videos and presentations about INTACH and India’s World Heritage sites. On World Heritage Day, they discussed the importance of preserving historic monuments, and Class V students shared artwork and presentations on musical instruments, highlighting India’s cultural legacy.

The Baisakhi Assembly on 9th April, led by Ravi House, celebrated our agrarian roots. Senior school students opened the session, followed by a thought-provoking skit and energetic dance performance, emphasizing the festival’s cultural and historical importance.

Earth Day was marked through interactive classroom activities. Class III made badges, Class IV performed role-plays, and Class V had a JAM session on “Save Our Earth – Now or Never.” A special assembly themed Our Power, Our Planet featured a Nukkad Natak and talks encouraging sustainable practices and the use of renewable energy.

Middle School

On 5th April, students participated in A Taste of Heritage, preparing fireless traditional dishes like jhal muri and doichira. They shared the cultural history behind each dish, enhancing their appreciation for India’s culinary diversity.

Teachers attended a Training Workshop at INTACH headquarters, learning from experts like Dr. Swapna Liddle and Anirudh Kanisetti about architectural history, monument conservation, and student engagement strategies.

Class VIII participated in a workshop titled Embracing Values through Indian Heritage, where they explored moral values like empathy, honesty, and teamwork through stories, videos, and group reflection, guided by Ms. Dinu Raheja of tGELF.

Senior School

On 5th April, Class X students went on a Heritage Walk to Humayun’s Tomb, Sunder Nursery, and the Sunken Museum. The trip offered a hands-on exploration of Delhi’s history, Mughal architecture, biodiversity, and artistic heritage.

Class XII History students visited the National Museum, engaging with artefacts from ancient to medieval India. A virtual tour of Ajanta and Ellora caves provided immersive learning about India’s artistic and spiritual traditions.

On World Earth Day, select Class XI students participated in an INTACH Poster-Making Competition using biodegradable materials, creatively promoting eco-consciousness.

To mark World Heritage Day on 18th April, Class XI students joined the Atulya Bharat National Heritage Quiz organized by Manipal University, Jaipur, celebrating India’s diverse heritage.

Earth Day Celebration, 22nd April 2025

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org (formerly Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

On the occasion of Earth Day on April 22, 2025 various activities were done by the heritage club students to stimulate young hearts with the feeling of belongingness with our planet. Students adopted plants and initiated to make a green classroom.

With banners in hand and slogans echoing through the air, students and staff marched in an energetic rally to spread awareness about conserving resources, reducing pollution, and safeguarding nature.

Tree Plantation Drive:
Students actively participated in planting saplings within the school campus and nearby areas. Each sapling symbolized a pledge to care for the environment and contribute to the fight against climate change.

The British School Heritage Walk to Lodhi Garden, 18th March 2025

INTACH's Heritage Education and Communication Division (HECS) organised an insightful heritage walk and session for 90 students from The British School, New Delhi, at Lodhi Garden and INTACH on 18th March, 2025. The walk was led by Ms. Nanki, Ms. Vaishnavi, Mr. Abhishek, and Mr. Deepanshu of the HECS team. They began the first half of their walk at Muhammad Shah's Tomb, receiving educational insights into its history, architecture, and cultural significance. The second half of the walk took them to Sheesh Gumbad, Bada Gumbad, and Sikander Lodhi's Tomb, continuing their exploration. At INTACH headquarters, students attended a lecture on heritage by HECS Principal Director Ms. Purnima Datt and on conservation by Ms. Merrin Anil, Centre Director of Art and Material Heritage, INTACH and also visited the conservation labs to observe preservation processes. The walk encouraged active exploration and proved to be an insightful and enriching experience for all participants.

Visit to L. D. Museum, Ahmedabad, 19th February 2025

Sheth C. N. English Medium School, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has established a Heritage Club to educate, inspire, and connect students with history. Two teachers and twenty students were selected as members of the club.

As part of their activities, the school organized a visit to the L.D. Museum, Ahmedabad, on 19th February. This renowned museum houses an exceptional collection of sculptures, manuscripts, paintings, and artifacts. The sculpture section featured intricately crafted stone and bronze statues, showcasing remarkable artistic expertise. Ancient manuscripts provided valuable insights into historical texts and scripts. The painting gallery exhibited vibrant artworks depicting significant historical events and cultural heritage. Additionally, the artifacts, including coins and tools, offered a fascinating glimpse into past civilizations. Each exhibit was well-preserved and highly informative, enhancing the students’ understanding and appreciation of art, history, and cultural evolution.

During the visit, students were divided into groups and assigned various tasks, such as creating live sketches, recording videos explaining the significance of the exhibits, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and designing quizzes based on their observations. Following the visit and completion of these activities, they were given the task of developing a website for the Heritage Club. Best Film: Papad Chronicles (Sparsh Vaish & Ishan Dutt Thakur, Class VIII)
Best Screenplay: Dilli Ki Dhadkan – Kinaari Bazaar (Kashvee Dhawan & Aditi Adlakha, Class VIII)

Junior School

January was filled with activities celebrating India’s cultural diversity, history, and natural beauty.

National Tourism Day (25th January)

Class III students illustrated dos and don’ts of responsible tourism, promoting sustainable travel. Class V created colorful flipbooks showcasing India’s famous tourist destinations.

Republic Day (26th January)

Class III students learned about Republic Day’s significance and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s role in shaping the Constitution. A PowerPoint presentation enriched their understanding, and they expressed patriotism through drawings of the national flower, Lotus.

Middle School

Harvest Festivals of India

Students created vibrant comic strips depicting Pongal, Bihu, Lohri, and Makar Sankranti, exploring regional traditions and festivities.

Republic Day

Classes VII and VIII participated in a quiz on constitutional principles, followed by a pledge-taking ceremony reinforcing unity and patriotism.

Poster Making

Students artistically depicted secularism through posters, illustrating themes of unity, religious harmony, and the Constitution’s vision.

Senior School

With Board and final term exams underway, extracurricular activities for classes IX–XII are on hold and will resume in the new academic session.
