           SOAP SCULPTURE                                            MY STONE MESSAGE

           Material Needed:                                          with your classmates and friends collect stones
           •  Soap                                                   and write a meaningful message using the
           •  Butter knife or                                        stones.

           •  Pencil
           •  Toothbrush

           1.  Pick a soap you wish to use.
           2.  using a soft pencil, gently draw your design on the
              soap. This will be your guide when you are carving or
              place the soap on a piece of paper and draw outline
              of soap on paper. Draw a design on paper, within the
              penciled outline. Trace the drawing on the soap.
           3.  Next, begin chiselling the soap around the design with
              your butter knife or tooth pick.
           4.  Finally,  shape  the features of  the design with  your
              toothpick.
           5.  The toothbrush is useful to brush away shavings from
              the carving, to give a neat look to the soap stone
              sculpture.
